Tau Chi - 2015 Events

Typically we have two events per month, a Boys-R-Us dinner and the enfemme chapter meeting. Occasionally during the year special events are also scheduled like Elegant Ladies Night Out (an evening on the town where you can dress to the nines) and Guys and Dolls (a birth gender dressed evening at a venue where better attire is expected). Throughout the year have a mixture of events that take place at various business locations in the Houston area. Many of our dressing events are held after normal business hours and not open to the public.

Below is a brief description of our plans for the year. The first item in the list is our Boys-R-Us dinner, the second is our chapter meeting.
If you would like to see what we did last year, check out our 2014 calendar.

Look at what you are missing out on by not being a member of Tau Chi!

Past 2015 Events
January
We had seven members say to heck with a no carb diet and start the year with our first Boys-R-Us at a local Italian restaurant.
For the first meeting of the year we had thirteen members attend a round table discussion on topics of interest. It was a good time to get something off your chest besides hair.

February
For our Boys-R-Us in the month that celebrates Mardi Gras, we had twelve members attend to dine on some of the finest Cajun food West of the Sabine river.
What else would we plan for this month but our annual Sweetheart Dinner and rose ceremony? No sweetheart? No problem. We had sixteen members (not eight couples) share their thoughts on those special people in their life.

March
There was nothing fishy about fifteen of our members catching up at one of the area's best Seafood establishments to celebrate Boys-R-Us this month.
Usually held in January, we had sixteen members attend the Pledge Ceremony this month. A great reminder that the three "S"es of Tri-Ess stand for Serenity, Support and Service... to ourselves and to our sisters.

April
We had an even dozen meet for our Boys-R-Us this month as we headed out for some of that legendary Texas BBQ.
No matter what your faith is, we had fourteen members join us this month for a spirited discussion with a person of the cloth presenting on religious issues and cross dressing. This is also a great opportunity to wear your "Sunday" best.

May
Maybe some people started their summer vacations already, but that didn't stop five members from meeting for Boys-R-Us this month to feast on some European food and enjoy each other's company.
We had six members put some "Spring" in their step as the weather warmed up and we met to shop at a local fashion store. Nothing is better than being able to try before you buy, except finding out that it is also on sale.

June
As the weather heats we had fifteen members grab some Hot and Spicy at an Asian restaurant for the Boys-R-Us this month.
No summertime blues allowed as we had sixteen members welcome our first of two back to back meetings featuring local gender therapists.

July
Even if Greece had left the Euro, we'd still love their food. Thirteen members agreed and joined us for Boys-R-Us this month for what else... Greek food and fun.
What goes on in your head is just as important as what goes on it. We had twenty two members join us this month for our second discussion with another local gender therapist.

August
We had eighteen members pair the hot August with some hot sauce as visited another great Houston area Mexican restaurant for our Boys-R-Us this month.
With the dog days of summer here was it time for a new look? We had twenty five members at our meeting this month who wanted to find out and joined us for an evening at a Beauty Salon. There is no way to "makeup" the fun we had if you missed it.

September
Aloha from the big island of Houston, we had eleven members join us for Boys-R-Us* this month as one of our own hosted the Annual potluck Luau.
There were seventeen members that took a gamble and attended the meeting this month for game night. The payout was a great time had by all... and some beautiful handmade jewelry.

*We wanted to roll out the barrels for Oktoberfest on time, so we had an extra Boys-R-Us featuring German food this month.

October
Even though Oktoberfest started in September, we continued the festivities with twelve members celebrating our October Boys-R-Us featuring Italian food. Oktoberfest isn't limited to Germany after all!
Were you one of the twenty two members who were around for our round table discussion? It was a great time to get together, let your hair down and have a night out with friends discussing common topics of interest?

We had eleven members at an extra fun in the sun event this month.

November
As the year winds to a close we had seven members celebrate Texas style at a local steakhouse for the Boys-R-Us this month and say Howdy to new friends and old.
We're thankful for any month where new members join. Hopefully you didn't wait this long to, but if you did, you had the opportunity to join twenty three other members for our annual Thanksgiving dinner.

We also had eleven members attend a special public outreach event this month.

As the saying goes, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail" so we had our annual planning meeting to brainstorm for great Boys-R-Us dining establishments and exciting monthly meeting events for our members in 2016.

December
To finish off the last Boys-R-Us of the year, we had ninteen members reflect on the past year over some warm English food on a cool (at least by Houston standards) December evening.
The last meeting of the year is always one of the best. We had twenty two members at our annual Christmas party to celebrate with food, gifts and of course great holiday outfits.
